Current Cooking Classes
Join us in our spacious commercial kitchen for a cooking class.
Cooking classes is one way we can share our joy of growing eating at preserving our harvest.
Cooking class formats:
Group Class
Get a group of friends together (minimum 8 people) and set aside a day for a seasonal food journey.
Meet at Fair Harvest for a coffee and short talk about the day
Head down to the garden to harvest fruit and veg
Back in the kitchen create a three course meal together
We’ll set the table and provide everything you need to enjoy your lunch
Stay and enjoy the good food, good friends and good vibes
BYO drinks
hint (this is even great for the non foodies in the group as there is no pressure to cook and it’s a beautiful setting to pour a glass of wine and relax)
Bookings by prior organisation, great for end of year work celebrations, birthdays etc
We will discuss with you before hand your dietary needs and requirements
Cost minimum $80 pp includes a three course meal
School group cooking class
Harvest a cook a meal together, a slightly simplified version of the group cooking class. Ideal for school groups camping onsite or as an excursion
- Harvest seasonal fruit and veg together
- In small groups do appropriate (to age and ability) food preparation
- Create some dishes for the group
- Bake and decorate a cake
These meals often include some preprepared elements so that there is not too much pressure on the group making the whole meal. I will always discuss the group needs, abilities and dietaries with the teachers. Usually involves teacher/parent support.
