Seed Savers Workshop 18th Feb  9am -4pm

Anyone involved in growing their own food ultimately realizes that saving and passing on good healthy local seed varieties is one of the most important things we can be doing for the future of food security as well as much more everyday reasons like saving money.

Not only is seed saving important but its rewarding and can be a great community activity. For all these reasons and more we’ve decided to start a Margaret River Seed Savers network and join up with the greater seed savers networks around Australia.

To Help us get started (because it’s not always as easy as it looks) Troy Dowling is going to lead us through a seed saver course. This basic course will teach us how to collect, clean, store and save a variety of seeds  and will serve as the starting point for the Margaret River Seeds Savers.
